Team Gift and Small Moments
Hi friends!! I hope you’re having a great week! I am seriously EXHAUSTED. I feel like all I have done is work for 3 weeks straight with a little bit of sleep in between.
I have a few little pics to share with you from the past few weeks. 🙂
My GOAL is to do a fun little gift for my team each month this year. Notice I said goal, ahaha! 🙂 September was super easy! 🙂 You can grab that little freebie here!
I seriously love these post it’s I picked up from Half Price Books! We are working on “Making Characters Come to Life” in Writer’s Workshop and these are perfect for encouraging kiddos to use speech bubbles!!
We have been studying small moments so the characters are really just themselves and people with them. 🙂 These are our favorite mentor texts we have used. Our Language Arts Curriculum Lead introduced us to Night of the Veggie Monster. It is FABULOUS. It is great for teaching small moments, but also teaches the kiddos how authors use illustrations to tell the story. Seriously…check it out!
And finally, I have a new favorite author thanks to sweet Jennifer over at Rowdy in First Grade. We are OBSESSED with Peter Brown now!!! Seriously, they ask me to read one of these every day! He has several more but these are our favorites. 🙂
Have a great week!! 🙂
