New Shapes Unit
Hi friends! Just stopping by to show you my new Shapes unit. We have had SO much fun with geometry…I wish we could stay on this unit for months! Plus alot of my kiddos who are ELLs or lacking in number sense can be really successful during this unit.
I made this unit to supplement our Investigations activities and lessons! SO…here it is!!
I included 2 different resources for anchor charts. I created posters so you can simply hang them up and reference them! You can even print them 2/page if you don’t have as much room. As always, they come in color and black/white.
I think it’s super improtant to create my anchor charts with my kids as often as possible. That’s why I included these shapes for you to use! Just cut them out and you can make your own charts!! You could also copy them and put them into their notebooks!
I’m most excited about this part of the pack! I have always used notebooks, but I am making an effort to include more interactive activities in my notebooks. In the past, I just used a notebook as a place for prompts. These make their notebooks a lot more interactive and useful to them!
You will also find 2 little activities that could be played in whole group or in a math station!
You will also find printables to use and a recording sheet for them to make their own shape picture. All they need to do is make a picture with pattern blocks and then trace it! 🙂
You will find an “I See Shapes” page for each shape covered! 🙂
Finally I have included some of my favorite resources to use during this unit!
Be sure to check this unit out in my store!! 🙂 Just click the picture and head on over!
And now for a freebie!
You can grab three of the notebook pages for free as a little teaser!
I’d love to hear how you teach shapes!! 🙂
