Using Google Classroom™ for Remote and Digital Learning

Man what a crazy world we’re living in! Years ago, I heard Google was moving into the education space. I was excited for what this could mean for students and teachers…especially in upper grades. But here we are and even Kindergarteners are learning to use Google™ and Google Classroom™! It’s pretty exciting! Unfortunately, so many teachers are asked to use these tools without much help. I want to make sure I’m helping you navigate these new tools.

Even after the country is back “open” again, I still think we will find a place for these platforms in our classrooms. While I absolutely believe hands-on learning is almost always best for students, technology is going to become even more important.

I asked one of my favorite teachers to share how she is using Google Classroom™ with her 2nd graders. To use Google Classroom™ you will need a free Google™ account. Many districts are giving their teachers one to use or you can get your own here. I definitely recommend making one designated for school if you have to make your own!

How will you use Google Classroom this year? Let us know in the comments!
