Hi families! If you’ve made it this far I hope you’ve found some valuable info for helping your kids learn at home!
Today I just wanted to share a few printable resources you might be interested in. I know many of you have teachers sending work but some of you don’t. You may also find that the work coming home is a bit challenging and you need extra support or it’s too easy and your kiddos need a bit of an extra challenge.
Handwriting
Now is an awesome time to focus on handwriting. Most classrooms don’t have time for direct teaching about it and students really need 1:1 support when they’re practicing. I created these simple handwriting practice pages for you to use. I’d suggest putting them in dry erase pockets like this (affiliate link) and letting them use dry erase markers over and over.
Self-Control Resources
In our classrooms, we spend a lot of time teaching our kids about self-control. It can be super hard for them to show patience and handle big emotions. I created this simple lesson plan as part of a year-long curriculum but it is ideal for home use too! If your kids are struggling to show self-control during this time this is a great resource!
There are SO many amazing resources on Teachers Pay Teachers. If you need help finding anything let me know…I’d love to help you find the perfect resource to use at home with your kiddos! We are all working to add more digital resources that your kids can complete on their computers and tablets too. As we navigate this time teachers and parents will build new partnerships. I know we will all work together to make sure kids are getting what they need!
