Do you have that person in your life that stepped up for you when you really needed them? You look up to them and want to be just like them when you grow up? For me, that person is my Aunt Patti. She has been there for me my entire life and was the most amazing teacher and mentor for me. The last few years of her career she transitioned to PE teacher and would do the coolest stuff with her kids every week.
I asked her to share some of her favorite activities with me so that you could use them! These activities are great for learning at home or for structured playtime at school.
I put them together in a simple download for you. Just click the button below, check your email and confirm. Your download will start immediately and you’ll have 8 activities ready to go with materials at home.
For most of the activities, you’ll need a ball and a few of them using bowling pins. You can make simple pins with water bottles, pringles cans, soup cans or anything that will stand up on it’s own. Some things might be too heavy to knock over with a ball, so just test it. For balls, you can put a few socks together to make one!
In case you’re not the DIY type, I put together an Amazon list of a few things you can use to keep your kids active at home!
You can find all of these products on my Amazon List: PE at Home.
Finally, I wanted to make sure you had a few online resources to use! If you’re trying to find a quick activity to get your little ones moving, these Youtube channels are my favorite! As with all Youtube (and social media) make sure you are listening/watching so they don’t click out or get to inappropriate content!
Cosmic Kids Yoga (she also has a great app)
Go Noodle (they also have an awesome website you can find here)
The Learning Station (not all of their videos are super active bu they are all great and hit some sort of educational content!)
Body Coach TV (he also has a channel for adults but this just links to his kids videos)
