Letter Identification

Hey everyone! I was looking back over my notes from my reading last night. I was in Chapter 3 of The Next Step in Guided Reading and she talks alot about interactive writing. I LOVED everything she had to say. She also talks A TON about the importance of assessment so you know exactly what letters/sounds your emergent/pre reading readers know. I’m at a new school, and I don’t think I will have more than a few of these in my 1st grade class (if any). I sure hope I do, because that’s definitely where my heart lies! Last year I had several at the beginning of the year. To keep track of my little friends I made this sheet to track what letters/sounds they know. I hope you can use it! 🙂 Just write your students name in the box and you are ready to go. There are only 7 to a page, but that’s as many as would fit and still be able to tell what the letters were! Ha! I plan on crossing off a letter once they have the letter down…so I will only see the letters they still need to work on. 🙂 Anyway, click the picture to grab your copy!

Thank you Cara Carroll for this adorable font! 🙂
