Go Noodle Blog Hop

Hi friends!! Thanks for stopping by! You’ve landed at stop 20 on our little blog hop! We have teamed up with Go Noodle to bring you our favorite ideas for using GN in your class! Of course, there are also lots of giveaways! 🙂
If you want to start at the beginning, head over to sweet Molly’s blog by clicking her button!
So…here on my little blog, I wanted to show you some of my favorite ways to use Go Noodle to review skills! I think many of us use it for the Brain-Break piece where your kiddos can dance their wiggles out or practice breathing! I wanted to show you how to use Go Noodle to review skills in tutoring or in whole group! I’m super lucky, because somehow I got Go Noodle Plus through a grant. But you can also purchase the subscription, and Casey Jane has tons of ideas on how to get your subscription taken care of!
I use body spell the most in my tutoring groups! This is a great way to transition into tutoring or at the end when they are DONE sitting down, haha! You can choose a word list that is already set for you. They follow a phonics pattern, which is fabulous!
Or you can type in your own words! You can type up to 20!! I love that you can customize this to fit your babies needs!
Then it leads them through spelling the words with their bodies! SOOO perfect for the kinesthetic learners in your class!
Here’s another favorite! It’s super fun! This one takes a while (about 10 minutes) so it’s perfect for indoor recess and when you all need a break!
Choose the words you want to focus on!
Then they answer questions. You choose the correct answer on your IWB or your computer so you can get them even more involved! Then they earn points! Super fun! You can play 2 teams in your class or your class against the computer!
Mega Math Marathon gets them REALLY moving while they are practicing their facts!
You can choose your category, and then the sub category. It’s easy to make sure it’s exactly what your kiddos need!
They RUN RUN RUN and call out the answer to questions. Once you get “Turbo Unlock” they have to run even faster!!
And this one is my new favorite! We have a very heavy ELL population at my school, as well as many babies from poverty. It’s SO important that we focus on Tier 2 vocabulary words. (Tier 2 are words that are not academic language but that they need to know to be successful in reading, writing, and just communicating!
Each word has fun little movements to really help with the meaning of the word. There’s also music that goes with each one. SO so so so fun! I can’t say enough about this one! DO IT!
Of course, Go Noodle has a special surprise for you!
Starting on Cyber Monday, GoNoodle is also offering all
