Fall Centers and Activities

Hi friends! Happy Monday! I hope you had a great start to your week! We had kind of a crazy day…I’m wondering if it’s a full moon, haha! I wanted to stop by and show you what we’ve been doing during literacy stations the past few weeks! All of them can be found in my Fall Centers pack in color and black/white! 🙂
In this activity, the kiddos sort the words into real and nonsense words. They love saying the nonsense words!! 🙂

This center has them sorting beginning L-blends! I’m always surprised how many of them can identify blends…go Kinder teachers!! 🙂

For this activity, they write the CVC word. This is perfect for your kiddos who are struggling a bit with writing! Plus all my kiddos need practice with medial vowels!
Write the room is always a favorite! I actually hadn’t hung them up yet, but I still wanted to show you! I lovve Write the Room because everyone can be successful!
This fun little activity has them sorting words by their beginning or ending digraph. The rest of the word is already there so you don’t have to worry about kiddos asking “what is this word?!” It’s also a great scaffolding if you want them to write the whole word!

And finally, ending sounds! Please excuse the glare!! 🙂 The boys love the football theme, and I love that they’re practicing listening to the whole word!

We also did our apple glyphs today! So fun! I can’t get enough kid art! You can grab those in my Apple Fun unit!
Later this week, we will be talking about Johnny Appleseed and I can’t wait to do this directed drawing from Jennifer at First Grade Blue Skies! If you don’t have her Directed Drawing pack, I highly reccomend it!!
We also are still reviewing Constitution Day. These activities have been perfect to whip out during morning work! 🙂
